How to Cook

Ingredients:  

 

  • 1 cup CIC Sudu Suduru Rice
  • 3 cups water
  • ½ tsp salt (optional)
  • 1 tsp oil or butter (optional)

 

Instructions: 

 

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water 2–3 times to remove surface starch.
  2. Soak the rice for 30–60 minutes (recommended for improved texture).
  3. Bring 3 cups of water to a boil. Add the rice, salt, and oil or butter.
  4. Cover and simmer on low heat for 30–40 minutes, until the rice is soft and water is fully absorbed.

Ingredients:

 

  • 1 cup CIC Sudu Suduru Rice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, sliced
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1 can baked beans (low salt)
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste

 

Instructions:

 

  1. Cook the rice according to instructions.
  2. In a large pan, sauté onion, pepper, and carrot in oil.
  3. Add curry powder and stir for a minute.
