How to Cook CIC Red Fragrant Rice 

Ingredients: 

 

  • 1 cup CIC Red Fragrant Rice
  • 2½ to 3 cups water
  • ½ tsp salt (optional)
  • 1 tsp oil or butter (optional)

Instructions:  

 

  1. Rinse rice thoroughly under cold water 2–3 times.
  2. Soak for 30 minutes (recommended for softer texture).
  3. Bring water to a boil. Add rice, salt, and oil or butter.
  4. Cover and simmer on low heat for 20–30 minutes, until tender.
  5. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork and serve. 

 

 Tip: For added aroma, cook with coconut milk or a pandan leaf.

Ingredients:

 

  • 1 cup CIC Red Fragrant Rice
  • 1 bunch fresh morogo (or spinach)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Cook CIC Red Fragrant Rice as per package instructions.
  2. In a pan, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until soft.
  3. Add chopped morogo/spinach and cook until wilted.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and optional tomato or chili.
